Default Pet / Skin unlocks

Suggestion: allow PVP-only players to be able to choose their pet type and weapon skins in the Character Creation screens.

How does it work? Pets can be unlocked with faction, OR if your PVE character tames a pet for the first time, it is unlocked for that account. The first time you ID a particular weapon or focus skin, that skin is unlocked for PVP, or you can unlock it with faction also. Add an extra customization screen after you've made your toon, which lets you choose your pet from the ones you have unlocked (assuming a Ranger primary or secondary) and skin the weapons / focii you have chosen.

I'm pretty sure this has come up before. And while I don't object to being able to choose skins/pets that you've already unlocked; I really don't see there being a point.

Usually when I roll a PvP character I'm trying to do it fast so that the group that I'm in doesn't have to wait for ages while I select my prefered skins. Having endless amounts of skins to pick and choose from, I think, will only add to the amount of time people waste rolling a new character. Added to that all I really care about is that I have the right skills/armor/runes and I have the correct items, not that I look good while using them; because, it'll be more than likely that I'll have to reroll a new character in a few rounds anyways.

But who knows, maybe lots of people out there would rather be able to pick custom skins/pets for their characters.

But for me /notsigned since I don't see a point.

/signed ish

Since rolling a PvP character like Aki said, for most people is just a fast thing to get some wins going, not many people would appreciate this. But for those people that occasioanlly roll a PvP char with no need to for speed, i.e. me, and im sure many other people, this idea might be a good one just to allow some individuality spent playing Beast Master in PvP.

Perhaps tho that having it so that when you tame a creature you unlock it is a bit silly, I could take my W/R out into the world and tame every creature in about, oh, 20 mins? except of course for Black Widow and Phoenix.

So maybe have it once you tame an animal and raise them to level 20, and then trade them in you unlock that, so you drop in a Hearty Tiger, you can use a Heaty Tiger, drop in a Dire Bear, you can use that Dire Bear for PvP.
